Who Am I?

 I am just me.

A woman who was a wife for almost 35 years.
A wife who was deeply, over-the-top, in love with her Sweetheart.
I fell in love with Rick when I was 10 years old.
But our love story goes back farther than that.

A woman who became a widow in just one heartbeat, April 2015.
A widow who has been through the storms of this life alone.
A widow who walks in the wilderness.
A widow who is still deeply, over-the-top, in love with her Sweetheart.

A Momma.
2 amazing kids.
A Grannee.
4 "perfect" grandkids.
A Great-Grannee.
1 precious treasured great-granddaughter.

I write.
A LOT.
Much of what I write is simply the pouring out of my thoughts and soul into words - read by me, re-read, and then deleted. If anyone ever digs into the hard drive history of my computer - oh my! LOL
I have a website that I am slowly working on, revamping to cover more than just a widow's life.
In that website I have a blog - Coffee Thoughts - some of these blogs will be reshared here.
I am working on a book - which is proving to be more of a challenge than I expected. And I am moving about like a turtle through peanut butter at this point!

I am a woman of varied interests - reading, writing, cooking, genealogy, sewing, quilting, rock hunting, my plant babies, kids and grandkids, long walks and long drives down back country roads . . . and more.

This blog is mostly about speaking the language of Grief -
and surviving the storms of life while learning to walk alone in the wilderness of widowhood.

Let me know what you think!
